Sir: Ziprasidone is an atypical antipsychotic with higheraffinity for human serotonin-2A (5-HT2A) receptors thandopamine-2 (D2) receptors. It is reported to have minimal extrapyramidalside effects similar to that of placebo.¹ However,there are reports of acute dystonia with ziprasidone.^2,3 AMEDLINE/PubMed search using keywords dystonia and ziprasidonerevealed no published reports of tardive dystonia withziprasidone.
