Article Abstract

Patients with major depressive disorder commonly experience fatigue and cognitive/executivedys function. These problems may be symptoms of the depression and persist despite effective antidepressant treatment, or these problems may emerge as adverse effects of some antidepressant treatments. A number of augmentation strategies can be employed to manage fatigue or cognitive/executive dysfunction, but the efficacy of these augmentation strategies must be researched further.
